The next day it rained too hard to go on Thousand Lakes, so the Horse trip and the Backpackers went Geo-casheing.  They found many treasures and gave many away to the next lucky treasure hunters.
The last day they hiked down a long road into the town of Torrey and in the town they were able to get their milkshakes!  Way to go backpackers!

2011 Weekend 2 activities

We did Saturday work parties....we finished staining the fence, washed vehicles and did laundry.  There are a few more photos on smugmug, but a lot of them are on my cell phone because my camera card malfunctioned (locked) so I have to figure out how to get them off of my phone and fix my memory card.  The other pictures are of campfire (done inside of the dining hall because it was raining hard) and the relay race and obstacle course we set up!  When I get them I will post them!  http://ntr.smugmug.com/Other/2011-2nd-week-weekend/18116041_2xJ38V

SUMMER IS HERE! HAPPY 4th!

The 4th of July is celebrated out west with Barbeques, Parades, Games and good old fashioned RODEOS! This is our crew at the Salina, UT rodeo on the 4th.  Our group is the one with the cute kids in the middle of the photo :)  For some, this was the first rodeo they had ever been to.  The day was filled with swimming, a parade, rodeo and fireworks!

The fireworks were quite impressive for a small town rodeo, but the kids were captivated by the display.  It was worth the wait and the kids had a good nights sleep after a long day.  More adventures to come!

Camp is almost here!

We had a group of boys here for a couple of weeks to help get  a few projects done around camp and help get ready for the summer! They planted a few trees.....
Worked on a couple of the cabins inside and out.  They worked hard.....
and played really hard.  They did the zip-line, went horseback riding, hiking and even had time to relax!
Thanks guys!  It was lots of fun to have you here and I think that we are ready for the SUMMER!  View the rest of the photos here: http://ntr.smugmug.com/Other/Boysworkgroup2011/17837941_Kqd6Xp#1363898858_86Mt8Hj
